The GIST Tech-I Competition is an annual competition for science and technology entrepreneurs from emerging economies worldwide, co-sponsored by The U.S. State Department and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). GIST wanted a brand for the annual competition that was independent of AAAS.
We created a visual kit that included a logo and typeface, and we have varied the color palette and style each year to reflect the themes and locations of the competitions, which have been held in Morocco, Kenya, and Silicon Valley.
We created a Tech-I logo, a social media campaign, a brochure showcasing the 30 finalists, banners, and other materials. Displayed here are spreads and materials from the 2014 and 2015 competitions.
