We partnered with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce to develop their foundation's brand, website, and social content strategy.
The Center for Economic Development (CED) is the foundation arm of the SF Chamber of Commerce, dedicated to fostering economic growth and supporting businesses in the city.
The challenge
San Francisco’s economy faced setbacks during the pandemic, but recent growth in AI and Clean Tech sectors signaled a resurgence. In partnership with the Mayor’s office, the CED needed to clearly articulate its value proposition to prospective business owners and distinguish itself from other economic initiatives. In addition, it was necessary to shift the narrative from “recovery” to opportunity, and capture the city’s bold and innovative spirit to attract businesses and entrepreneurs. The ultimate goal was to generate business inquiries and facilitate meetings between prospective companies and SF Chamber staff.
Our solution
We developed a brand identity that embodied San Francisco’s bold, innovative, and dynamic personality, and activated it through both messaging and visuals. We designed a website that showcased San Francisco’s vibrancy, looking ahead to a promising future instead of language about past struggles. The design reflected the city’s character while ensuring clear, accessible information for local and international audiences. By crafting a fresh, engaging brand and website, we positioned the CED as a key resource for business expansion in San Francisco.
